Prior to using AwardSpring, we used a ton of paper! We had application bundles that were checked out to our review committees.

Document management and storage was extremely inconvenient and time-consuming. AwardSpring’s SpringBoard implementation team took the time to understand our process and were thoughtful in how they configured our system to meet our unique process needs.

This allowed us to eliminate the storage space issues and the excess time expenditure needed to handle all of the paperwork! As a result of using AwardSpring, we have enough time to work on preparing for and presenting at workshops and school visits.

We were able to travel and present to the high schools in our service district and two high schools invited us to spend a full day walking students through the scholarship application process. Due to this greater outreach, we were able to increase our application rate by 94.3%.

We also saw a 53.7% increase in our application completion rate. Our team and our board members are incredibly impressed!

While it is not really part of what we as a Foundation do, we do keep an eye on enrollment numbers for the college. We have found that students who receive our Foundation scholarships will generally go through the scholarship application process again in the future.

We also have data to demonstrate that Foundation scholarship recipients re-enroll and complete degree programs at a significantly higher rate than those who do not receive scholarships. Needless to say, we are hoping to get out to more schools this year to continue increasing our numbers.

Coping with dramatic increases in application numbers was a breeze with AwardSpring. While we have had to field more questions from applicants due to this increase, student engagement is no longer overwhelming due to having freed up administrative time by using AwardSpring.

With some minor adjustments to our review process to handle the increased volume of qualified applicants, our team is performing efficiently on all fronts. We are able to make these minor process adjustments to accommodate these increases in application numbers with ease thanks to AwardSpring!

Additionally, our freed up time enables us to focus more on donor engagement via thank you letters. With AwardSpring we are able to require award recipients to upload a thank you letter and photo of themselves.

We then create thank you cards to send along to our donors, which are a hit. Our donors just love them!

We also created a special thank you email for our board members with a collage of photos and quotes from the thank you letters. I received a positive response from every single board member!

AwardSpring has helped us to streamline our application process and addressed our pain points. We feel as though it is important to adapt to the digital age and we have done so by adopting an online scholarship management solution.
