Prior to using AwardSpring, we were using paper applications. Each applicant was required to submit an application, two letters of recommendation, an essay, and a transcript for each scholarship.

This was an administrative nightmare for both the applicants and our team. We were heading into a merger with another college and knew we needed a better process in place for a larger pool of applicants.

Our SpringBoard implementation manager configured all of our scholarships on our site and provided helpful training every step of the way. She set appropriate deadlines to keep me on track for meeting our launch date and made sure that I was familiar with how to use the platform.

The implementation didn’t require a bunch of my time filling out informational worksheets or configuring things myself. The whole process went really well and we saw our application rate double during our first award cycle using the platform!

Prior to using AwardSpring, our review process was two weeks long and required reviewers to meet together in a conference room. This was extremely time-consuming and everyone dreaded it!

Now, reviewers can review applications anywhere, anytime. This has freed up a lot of my time and reviewers are happier due to the more flexible and easy process.

Our award process used to be extremely time-consuming and tedious. The process now takes mere minutes!

Previously, I spent hours and hours of my time typing up and mailing out hard copies of award letters that I was unsure were being delivered because of address changes or issues with the post office. The notification process takes about an hour in AwardSpring and I’m confident that awardees are being notified properly and promptly.

I even use the denial letter to reach out to those students who did not receive scholarships to see if I can assist them with improving their applications for the next scholarship cycle. When they contact me, their information is at my fingertips so I am able to provide immediate feedback.

One of my favorite aspects of using AwardSpring is the reporting feature. I no longer need to build my own reports which saves so much time.

I also love that the support team is always accessible and I never have to wait long for a response. They even take the time to help me review my site to make sure it is ready for the next application period by walking me through making changes and guiding me with suggestions.

We are a small department and don’t get in front of our donors as much as we’d like. The “thank you” letter upload requirement for awardees allows me to forward along the “thank you” letters to donors each semester so they know how their dollars are helping students.

AwardSpring has been nothing but beneficial for us in managing our scholarship program and I have nothing negative to say about my experience. My days are no longer consumed with administrative nightmares and I am much happier!
