Sending text messages is simple with AwardSpring.
Under the Communication tab:
- Compose your message in the text box
- Add recipients' phone numbers
- Send!
- Messages are limited to 160 characters and our texting service allows up to 14,000 messages at a time.
- Texting functionality will assume a +1 country code for added phone numbers. All recipients outside of the US and Canada will need an added country code
Thoughtful Messaging
Tailoring your message to ensure your applicants are engaged is simple with these best practices:
- Don't message students about items that they can't act upon day-of. Use texting as an immediate reminder.
- Create short, concise messages with clear next-steps.
- Always use a link so students can act on your message.
- Save space by condensing your institution's name so that it's still recognizable and legitimate. Also, consider using a URL shortening service or remove the HTTPS from you links.
- Use reports to target the exact group of recipients you'd like to message.
Pricing & Limits
AwardSpring limits the number of texts sent by pricing tier. The Texting price tiers listed above are the minimum tier allowed per each Subscription Tier, but you may choose a higher Texting tier to increase your allowed annual limit. AwardSpring reserves the right to charge for each message sent over your limit, or provide an opportunity to upgrade to the next available tier.
